Avis Recognised as Top Car Rental Company for Fourth Year Running

Avis Rent a Car, South Africa youthAvis has been announced as the number one car rental company in South Africa in the 2016/2017 Icon Brands Survey for the fourth consecutive year. The announcement was made on the 28 July 2016 in Johannesburg.  

The Icon Brands Survey by Ask Afrika recognizes brands used most loyally by South Africans across age, income, race and language spectrum's. South African consumers vote to select their Icon Brands in the different categories that they have established a strong and timeless relationship with. 

“We are honored and humbled to be recognized as the top car rental company for the fourth consecutive year as selected by our valued customers. This award is a reminder of the hard work put in by our Avis Brand Ambassadors and we will continue to strive to live up to our promise to try harder,” says Rainer Gottschick, Chief Executive of Avis southern Africa.

The Icon Brands Survey represents product categories across different industries ranging from financial services to household appliances and personal care. 15 107 consumers were surveyed representing over 24 million adult South African consumers. An enumerated area sampling design was employed and the universe included all communities with more than 8000 inhabitants.  

Gottschick concludes, “At Avis, we are looking to keep up to date with our customers’ needs and monitoring their service satisfaction because we strive to exceed our customer’s expectation at all times.”
